Stories About Human Rights
In FREE?, 14 authors tackle the idea of freedom. Using Amnesty International's Universal Declaration of Human Rights, these authors ask us to ponder the question "How Do You Want the World to Be?" As we all have different ideas of freedom, the authors tackle their entries using different formats from free verse poetry to transcripts of interviews.
For our discussion, we want to represent the diversity of freedom. Join educator Bird Cramer who will lead our discussion on Thursday, July 20th at 7pm at the Aurora Free Library. Please select and represent an idea, story, or theme from storytelling, photography, discussion question, collages, etc. to answer the questions: How do you want the world to be? What does it mean to be free?
We look forward to discussing what you would like to share about FREE?. All are welcome to come whether you have read the book or even only some of the essays.
Refreshments will be served.
